DESCRIPTION:Paint Me A Story or Vice Versa:\nLike other kinds of imagery\, ekphrasis paints a picture with words. What makes it different from something like pictorialism is that the picture it paints is itself a picture: ekphrasis stages an encounter between representations in two mediums\, one visual and one verbal. \nImagine a story from a painting or create artwork from a story. Marty Taylor and Sally Honenberger will provide inspiration to artists and writers to collaborate with an invisible partner or a selected colleague. Bring a friend. Brainstorming\, editing\, and critique to produce a book to take home and complete. \nThis workshop is part of the Paint Me A Story Exhibition now showing at TAG through the end of September. \nSnacks provided. $15/person.
