DESCRIPTION:Paint Me A Story or Vice Versa:\nLike other kinds of imagery\, ekphrasis paints a picture with words. What makes it different from something like pictorialism is that the picture it paints is itself a picture: ekphrasis stages an encounter between representations in two mediums\, one visual and one verbal. \nImagine a story from a painting or create artwork from a story. Marty Taylor and Sally Honenberger will provide inspiration to artists and writers to collaborate with an invisible partner or a selected colleague. Bring a friend. Brainstorming\, editing\, and critique to produce a book to take home and complete. \nThis workshop is part of the Paint Me A Story Exhibition now showing at TAG through the end of September. \nSnacks provided. $15/person. DESCRIPTION:The Art of Seeing is a four-session drawing class for adults that helps you slow down\, sharpen your observation skills\, and enjoy drawing as a mindful practice. Through simple exercises\, you’ll learn to notice shapes\, light\, and space\, and translate what you see onto paper. The class meets on Tuesdays\, September 30\, October 7\, 14\, and 21\, from 6:30–8:30 PM at TAG Studio.
