Art Exhibit Opening at TAG

Tappahannock Art Gallery will host the opening of its newest exhibit, Illustrated Books on Display at TAG, on Friday, July 25 at 5:30 p.m. The show highlights the collaboration between authors and illustrators, featuring six books by local and visiting creatives. Exhibitors will speak about their process of combining words and images into one artistic vision.

Featured works include Steve Prince’s linocut illustrations for Why the Heathens Rage, Heather Cockrell’s prints from The Art of Crabbing on the Northern Neck, Marty Glenn Taylor’s Benton Point Moments, and more. Books and original artwork will be available for viewing and purchase.

The evening is part of Tappahannock’s Friday Date Night, with wine tasting at 4:30 at Act XII, the gallery opening at 5:30, and dinner at 1710 Tavern to follow.
